Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri is our first donation of 2021 and we are glad we can assist such an outstanding organization. From their website:
“At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, we show up for young people, facilitating the relationships that fuel their pursuit of a meaningful, stable, and independent life. In partnership with parents and youth and a constellation of support from mentors, educators and community partners, youth can see what’s possible—and they feel significant enough to achieve it.”
Great Expectations Foundation rewarded them with a $3,000 grant to help us support students and teachers at the 9 schools they serve through ABCToday. They will encourage students to continue succeeding in ABC areas (Attendance, Behavior, and Course performance in Reading/Math) by providing incentives AND support teachers at the 9 ABC. Great Expectations believes in the support of furthering children education and emotional well being and the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and ABCToday initiative are excellent examples in our local community of fostering education and emotional well being.
