The Friends of Madison County Child Advocacy Center is located in Wood River, IL

The mission of the Madison County Child Advocacy Center is to provide a professional and child-friendly environment to assist in the investigation of allegations of child abuse, provide access to services and treatment for victims and their families and raise awareness within the community.

“The Madison County Child Advocacy Center works to ensure children and families dealing with abuse allegations of severe physical and sexual abuse are heard supported and connected. Throughout the Covid -19 Pandemic, the Center has been able to provide forensic interviews, case management services, and on site therapy services to children and families in a time of crisis. In 2020, the Madison County Child Advocacy Center interviewed over 400 children related to allegations of abuse, provided case management services to over 1300 clients and provided 216 clients with trauma informed therapy services. Due to Covid, the Center was only able to reach 360 students with prevention education.” – Claire Cooper

Great Expectations Foundation rewarded them with a $1,000 grant to support their general needs. With over 500 reported cases of abuse to children in the community, Friends of Madison County Child Advocacy Center makes provides safety and security to those who are healing. Their mission aligns with that of Great Expectations Foundation.
