Cedarhurst Center for the Arts is a visual and performing arts institution. In the past 40 years, Cedarhurst has grown into a cultural mecca spread over 80 acres.
The mission of their foundation is to generate enthusiastic participation in and support for the visual & performing arts in Mt. Vernon, southern Illinois, and the surrounding region. Cedarhurst also provides opportunities for enjoyment of the arts and increased awareness, understanding, and appreciation for the arts.
Great Expectations Foundation rewarded Cedarhurst with a $2,500 grant to help with startup expenses for the launch of new holiday lights. Their community goals align with that of the Great Expectations Foundation.
